Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, received French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and his accompanying delegation at the patriarchal residence in Bkerke.
The meeting, which lasted approximately 45 minutes, was also attended by French Ambassador Hervé Magro.
Talks reportedly focused on the latest political developments in Lebanon, but Barrot left without issuing any statements.
According to Walid Ghayyad, the head of media at the patriarchal residence, Barrot emphasized "the importance of electing a president as a fundamental priority, alongside the necessity of halting the war."
Ghayyad further noted that the French minister's visit was "a gesture of solidarity and a step to advance key issues forward."
