Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announced that the Canadian government is reserving seats on commercial flights to help its citizens leave Lebanon, after Israeli airstrikes shook the capital, Beirut.
In a statement on social media, Joly added: "Canada has secured seats for Canadians on the limited commercial flights available."
She continued: "If a seat is available, please book it."
Joly urged Canadians to register with the embassy in Beirut if they need assistance leaving and said that loans are available for those in need of financial help.
