Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri congratulated the Lebanese in general and Muslims in particular on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, saying: “On the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet brought the nation and humanity out of the darkness of ignorance into the light of guidance, goodness, justice and mercy for all people.”
"On this blessed occasion, we turn to Palestine, the land of Isra and Mi'raj, to the soil that is watered with the blood of martyrs, to Lebanon, the south of sacrifice, steadfastness, redemption, martyrdom, and truth in the face of falsehood," Speaker Berri added.
"Let this year’s celebration be an act of work and struggle to create the values of unity, compassion and convergence, as these values are the path to salvation for the nation and humanity," he concluded.
