Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati chaired a meeting at the Grand Serail, attended by Caretaker Labor Minister Mustafa Bayram, the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makkieh, former head of the Civil Service Council Munther Al-Khatib, and Premier Mikati’s Advisor, former Minister Nicolas Nahhas.
The meeting was devoted to continuing the discussion of ways to implement the retirement pension related to employees.
Premier Mikati also met with Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi, with whom he discussed the challenges of the upcoming academic year.
Mikati also received at the Grand Serail French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro.
The PM later received the newly appointed Dutch Ambassador to Lebanon Frank Mollen, who came on a protocol visit upon assuming his diplomatic duties in the country.
The Prime Minister then received respectively a delegation of the Committee of Muslim Scholars, headed by Sheikh Salem Rafei, former MP Talal Al Merhebi, and Lebanon's Ambassador to Algeria Mohammed Hasan.
