Caretaker Environment Minister Nasser Yassin met with UN Special Representative in Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert and Resident Humanitarian Coordinator Imran Riza, at his office.
The meeting reportedly broached the ongoing environmental projects implemented by the ministry in collaboration with the UNDP and international organizations, particularly regarding integrated solid waste management and pollution reduction in various Lebanese regions.
In his capacity as head of the government’s emergency committee, Yassin also addressed recent developments in southern Lebanon, exploring ways to support the emergency plan for displaced residents from border villages and responding to any potential conflict escalation.
