The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, confirmed that "strong, impactful, and effective; between us and them are still days and nights, and we await the battlefield."
In a speech the one-week commemoration of Fouad Chokr, he said, "We are keen on our people, our country’s security, and its infrastructure, and we do not want many people to be affected. We bear this burden directly, but we cannot be expected to treat Tuesday’s aggression as normal within the context of the ongoing battle for the past 10 months."
He added, "Our response will come, God willing, whether alone or with the axis; these are possibilities that exist. This is a major battle, and this blood is precious and dear; the resistance cannot let it pass without consequence, no matter the repercussions." He reiterated that "Hezbollah and Iran will respond, and while the enemy waits and watches, the capability to retaliate exists from Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen; the Israeli anticipation of a response is part of the punishment and the battle." He continued, "Today, for the first time, all of Israel is standing one and a half feet, from the south to the north to the center."
Nasrallah emphasized that "The Israeli does not dare to tell the truth to the Arab Druze community in Majdal Shams because there is misinformation and a plan to incite discord."
He continued, "For 75 years, we were the ones being displaced, with our homes being destroyed while theirs remained, and our economy suffered while theirs did not; today, everything has changed, as evidenced by the fact that airlines are suspending flights not only from Beirut Airport but also from Israel." He added, "We can destroy Israeli factories in the north within one hour."
Nasrallah considered that "attacking major leaders will not affect our will, morale, strength, or determination to continue."
He pointed out that "The Israeli side does not accept the establishment of a Palestinian state, even if it were in Gaza and internationally recognized, because it views it as an existential threat, and expanding settlements is Israel's goal in the West Bank." He continued, "Israel has taken over the Shebaa Farms and the Kfarchouba Hills, and it does not want a Palestinian state or refugees." He noted that "The US responded to votes for a Palestinian state with a veto, revealing its hypocrisy; this behavior is also evident in its dealings with Lebanon."
Nasrallah said, "If the resistance in Gaza is defeated, the risks will extend to Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and all the countries in the region."
He clarified that "In this battle, the goal is not to eliminate Israel but to prevent it from achieving victory and to safeguard the threatened Palestinian cause." He considered that "The killing of Haniyeh and Chokr is an Israeli achievement, but it is not a victory and does not change anything in the course of the war; Israel remains in a difficult position even after their assassinations."
He called on "the resistance fighters in Palestine, from a position of shared sacrifice and struggle, to maintain their patience and resilience; we also call on the support fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq to continue their efforts." He also called on "Arab and Islamic countries to wake up and reassess their positions, performance, and behavior in light of the dangers threatening the region."
Nasrallah explained that "it is not required for Iran and Syria to engage in constant fighting, but what is needed is moral, political, material, and military support, as well as facilitation." He urged Lebanese people to recognize the existing dangers, noting that "the fate of the region is being drawn now, and you should be afraid if Israel wins, not the resistance." He affirmed that "the party is not interested in leveraging any victory for internal Lebanese purposes." He said, "Do not stab the resistance in the back or participate in psychological warfare."
He added, "There is no decision within Hezbollah to evacuate Dahieh, and today, the power of media is more frightening than actual weaponry." He continued, "Those who do not support us are not obligated to back the resistance, as it does not need your support; however, they should uphold national ethics, remain silent, and avoid engaging in psychological warfare."
Nasrallah began his speech by saying, "The enemy might breach the sound barrier during the speech to disrupt us or intimidate those present," adding, "this indicates that they are very "small-minded."
