Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, condemned in a statement “the Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the new blatant violation of international laws and human rights.”
As Sheikh Akl Al-Muna offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished the wounded a speedy recovery, he renewed his call to “halt the war immediately and to stop the bloodshed and the killing of women, elderly people and children in Haret Hreik, Gaza and the enduring Majdal Shams.”
Sheikh Abi Al-Muna also condemned the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, and his companion, and offered his condolences to the “steadfast Palestinian people in general, and the Hamas movement and the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli aggression in particular.”
