Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdallah Bou Habib, on Tuesday met with the Senior Director of the Middle East Department at the US National Security Council, Ms. Barbara Leaf, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Ms. Yael Lempert, and other senior officials at the residence of the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, in the presence of Acting Chargé d'Affairs, Wael Hashem. 

Discussions reportedly focused on Lebanon's foreign policy, the Lebanese parliamentary elections, the progress achieved in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, as well as projects supported by the World Bank in Lebanon, in addition to other regional issues.
