Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan, on Tuesday received in his office at the Ministry the Chairman of the Union of Importers and Exporters of vegetables and fruits in Lebanon, Naeem Khalil, accompanied by a delegation from the Union.

Discussions reportedly touched on the problems of exporting and importing agricultural products.

Minister Hajj Hassan stressed on adopting the best safety and quality standards.

Hajj Hassan also affirmed the Ministry's full support for the sector and Lebanon's commitment to the agricultural calendar with Egypt and sisterly countries.

Khalil, in turn, highlighted the importance of the visits by the Minister of Agriculture to Cairo and Jordan and their positive impact on the import and export process.
