U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea responded on Saturday to the recent ruling issued against her in an exclusive interview with MTV saying, "It's unfortunate and I think it's a distraction; I wish people would spend their time and attention trying to solve the problems facing the country, amid the economic crisis, with people worried about how they will put food on their tables."
"The U.S. Embassy will not be silenced; in fact, the Lebanese government has apologized for the judge's ruling, but more importantly, the Lebanese people's freedom of expression must remain unhindered," the ambassador added.
