A photo of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, near the Aleppo Citadel, was removed after Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham took control of the area.
In this context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that Syrian forces had completely withdrawn from the city of Aleppo.
This marks the first time armed factions have entered Aleppo since Assad regained full control of the city in 2016.
