Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty affirmed that the tragedy Lebanon is experiencing is due to the Security Council's inability to stop the war in Gaza.
In his speech at the United Nations Security Council, he stated: "Without halting the bloodshed in Gaza, we will remain trapped in a cycle of temporary ceasefires that quickly collapse."
He emphasized the "need for a comprehensive halt to Israeli aggression in the Middle East."
