The Republican vice presidential candidate has been hosting his own event just hours before Harris and Walz are set to take the stage together in the Pennsylvania city.
Vance renewed the Trump campaign’s attack that Harris is too far left for the majority of US voters. Walz, who pushed progressive policies in Minnesota, is an extension of that, Vance said.
“It’s not Tim Walz himself. It’s what it says about Kamala Harris, that when given an opportunity, she will bend the knee to the most radical elements of her party,” Vance told supporters.
“That’s exactly what she did here. That’s what she’s going to keep on doing as president. That’s why we’ve got to elect Donald J Trump as president of the United States,” he said.
