Donald Trump's election campaign announced that he will attend the Republican National Convention next week, after he was shot and wounded in what appeared to be an assassination attempt during an election rally in Pennsylvania, according to Sky News.
“President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we move forward with our convention to nominate him to be the 47th President of the United States,” the campaign said in a statement.
It was noteworthy that Trump regained his composure after being shot and refused security attempts to take cover. He tried to expose as much of his body as possible to the public, waved to his supporters and told them that he was fine, and urged them to fight for the United States of America.
Trump continued to raise his hand towards the crowd, repeating one word: “Fight!” Fight until many in the crowd began chanting, “United States, United States.”
While Trump was being treated, Secret Service officers surrounded him and transferred him to a nearby car as he continued to raise his fist amid more popular cheers.
Trump appeared as he got off his plane without assistance, hours after he survived an assassination attempt during his election rally in Pennsylvania.
