Lebanese Forces Deputy Chief, MP George Adwan, stressed Sunday on the reconciliation and unity of the Lebanese Mountain as being a "red line", adding that the relationship built between its components will not be distorted by any political discourse.
He stressed that the Mountain is protected through a Druze-Christian responsibility that emphasizes on its unity and the coexistence and cooperation of its people as being a red line, fortifying it against any undermining attempts.
Adwan's words came during a reception held by the Social Development Association in the town of Breih in the Upper Shouf region this afternoon, marking the opening of a new town house that caters to social services.
Addressing the attendees, Adwan said: "You know to what extent the reconciliation established by the late Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir with the Progressive Socialist Party Leader, Walid Jumblatt, is a qualitative leap in our history...when we made a decision as Druze Unitarians and Christians to turn the page and open a new bright, white page in our history..."
"This require continuous efforts on our side to make sure that in any action we carry out, our priority will always be this reconciliation," he added.
Adwan stressed on the unity, solidarity and strength of the people of the Mountain, who continue to work hand-in-hand for the sake of their nation and homeland, no matter the obstacles or provocations.
