French President Emmanuel Macron called Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and later wrote on his X account: "I congratulated Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in a phone call, on the efforts he and the government are making to support Lebanon’s unity, security, and stability. We discussed prospects for reconstruction and the necessary reforms. This work is essential for Lebanon and the entire region, and I will host Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Paris on March 28. France’s commitment to Lebanon will remain strong to support its recovery and protect its sovereignty."
