Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh, a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, headed by IMF Mission Chief Ernesto Ramirez Rigo, in the presence of Speaker Berri’s Advisor Ali Hamdan.
The meeting reportedly focused on the general conditions, particularly the financial and economic situation, and the IMF's work programs in Lebanon.
Speaker Berri also met with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, with whom he discussed the general situation and political and field developments in light of Israel's continued occupation of parts of southern Lebanon and its violations of UN Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement.
Separately, Berri received British Defense Ministry Senior Adviser for the Middle East Admiral Edward Ahlgren, and an accompanying military delegation, in the presence of British Chargé d'Affaires in Lebanon Victoria Dunne.
The meeting reportedly focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the broad region, particularly the political and field situations, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two countries.
