Acting Lebanese Army Commander Major General Hassan Odeh, on Wednesday received at his Yarzeh office, Parliamentary Secretary to the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Oliphant, in the presence of Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Stefanie McCollum.
Maj. Gen. Odeh then received MP Akram Chehayeb, with whom he broached the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
The army chief then received the Saudi Military Attaché, Naval Colonel Fawaz bin Musaed Al-Mutairi, with whom he discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the armies of the two countries.
Separately, Maj. Gen Odeh welcomed a delegation from the Armed Forces Retirees Association, headed by retired Major General Nicolas Mezher.
Discussions reportedly touched on affairs related to the retired military personnel.
Odeh also received a delegation from the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), with discussions reportedly touching on the situation on the southern border.
