The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement:
"The first batch of trainee soldiers has joined the army as part of the first phase of the plan to reinforce military units deployed in the south. This plan includes the enlistment of 6,000 personnel to implement Resolution 1701 and its provisions. The volunteers have begun their training courses with specialized units, after which they will be assigned to various divisions."
