Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Elias Murr, along with former MP Michel Murr, at the second presidency in Ain El-Tineh. Discussions reportedly focused on general affairs and recent political developments.
Berri also met with MP Elias Hankach, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Kataeb Party, Serge Dagher. Talks centered on political updates, particularly the presidential election and legislative matters.
Following the meeting, Hankach stated: "We conveyed a message from Kataeb leader Sheikh Sami Gemayel emphasizing the need for a decisive session on January 9 to elect a president, regardless of circumstances." He underscored the importance of electing a president who can unite Lebanese citizens through a reconciliation program and comprehensive reforms to rebuild the nation on promising foundations.
Additionally, Speaker Berri discussed political developments with Deputy Prime Minister in the caretaker government Saade Chami.
