Former Banque du Liban Governor Riad Salameh appeared before the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, Nicolas Mansour, who interrogated him for two hours in a previous case regarding properties and assets owned by Salameh in France, including an apartment he previously rented from a company owned by Anna Kazakova for half a million dollars annually.
Judge Mansour issued a direct arrest warrant against Salameh as part of the charges against him for embezzlement of public funds, money laundering, and illicit enrichment. This is the second direct arrest warrant issued against Salameh.
