Lebanese Red Cross teams were subjected to a new attack by Israeli forces. The Red Cross posted images showing the aftermath of the assault on its official X account, stating:
"Following the airstrike on a house in the town of Sirbine in southern Lebanon on Sunday, October 13, at 8:00 am, Lebanese Red Cross ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene in coordination with UNIFIL.
While the team was searching for victims to rescue, the house was bombed a second time, resulting in concussions for the volunteers and damage to two ambulances. The injured volunteers, who sustained minor injuries, were taken to the hospital and are in good condition."
They added: "Lebanese Red Cross volunteers must be protected at all times while attempting to rescue victims."
