The Public Health Emergency Operations Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health, issued a statement announcing that the Israeli attacks on the capital, Beirut, this evening resulted, in an initial toll, in the martyrdom of eleven people and injuries to forty-eight others.
On another note, the Ministry of Public Health urges media outlets and social media to refrain from issuing calls for blood donations to hospitals, as this could disrupt rescue and emergency operations and hinder mobility at a time when additional units are not currently needed. There is a clear mechanism coordinated with the Red Cross to secure blood units swiftly and to the appropriate locations.
