The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichai Adraee, issued an urgent warning to residents of the following villages in southern Lebanon: Srebbine, Marwahin, Chihine, Umm al-Tut, Oum Touteh, Boustane, Zalloutiyeh, Yarine, Dhayra, Matmoura, Jebbayn, Tayr Harfa, Abou Chach, Alma ash Shaab, Naqoura, Ain Chamaa, Ras al-Badda, Majdal Zoun, Mansouri, Maqsabe, Mazraat Byout El Saiyad, Sammaaiyeh, Rachidiyeh, Ain Baal, Bazouriye, Hanniyeh.
He stated: "Hezbollah's activities compel the Defense Forces to act forcefully against it. The Defense Forces do not wish to harm you. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move north of the Al-Ouli River. Anyone found near Hezbollah elements, facilities, or weapons is endangering their life. Be careful – you are prohibited from heading south. Any movement towards the south puts your life at risk. We will inform you when it is time to return to your homes."
