A statement was issued by the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon, as follows:
"The General Secretariat of Catholic Schools, based on its educational responsibility and in consideration of the recent security developments, requests all its schools across Lebanese territories to continue suspending classes tomorrow, Wednesday. It will also monitor the security situation and issue another statement on Wednesday evening regarding the available means to continue the academic year, in consultation with those concerned with educational affairs, in order to save the academic year and in commitment to its national and educational duty toward its students.
We pray to God to lift this dark cloud from Lebanon, to grant peace to the souls of the martyrs, heal the injured, soothe the suffering, and remove fear and panic from hearts."
Catholic schools will be closed tomorrow
