Thousands of Israelis participated in a protest against the government, blocking the main entrance to Jerusalem and heading toward the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Times of Israel reported that the protesters are opposing the government's efforts to dismiss the head of the Shin Bet (Shabak), Ronen Bar, abandon prisoners, and resume fighting in Gaza.
The protest leader, Shikma Bressler, told the participants: "It's time to end this madness before we lose someone we can still save, and before we lose our country."
