Military and medical sources have announced that a Sudanese army aircraft crashed in a residential area near the Wadi Seidna Air Base in Omdurman, resulting in the deaths of more than 20 people, including military personnel and civilians.
Among the casualties is Major General Bahar Ahmed, one of the prominent army leaders who led military operations in the capital, Khartoum.
The army stated in a statement that several military personnel and civilians were killed in the incident, but did not provide further details.
