Turkish media reported that a fire broke out in the historic Egyptian Bazaar in the Eminönü district of Istanbul.
The newspaper Zaman mentioned that flames rose from a restaurant located next to the Egyptian Bazaar. Fire trucks immediately rushed to the scene.
Meanwhile, Hürriyet reported that the fire erupted in a four-story building housing the restaurant in the Eminönü area, for an unknown reason.
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated: "The fire did not break out in the spice bazaar. The fire brigade responded within 5 minutes, and there were no casualties or injuries. The fire department will investigate the cause of the fire."
