An Israeli drone targeted a car near a checkpoint of the Fourth Division on the Yabous road on the outskirts of Damascus. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the strike hit a car belonging to Hezbollah near the Lebanese border, resulting in two deaths.
Israeli media reported that the target of the drone strike in the Damascus countryside was a member of Hezbollah's air defense force.
The airstrike killed the former companion of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, known as Abou El Fadl Qarnboch.
Syria's official news agency stated that the airstrike came "from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea west of Banias," targeting one of the points in the vicinity of Banias city, and some material losses.
