Caretaker Minister of Information, Jamal Jarrah, on Thursday said during a press conference that "financial prosecutor, Judge Ali Ibrahim, should have preserved the confidentiality of the law suit he had previously filed against the three former telecoms ministers; however, he had opted to leaking it to the media in a wrongful manner."
"Judge Ibrahim has filed lawsuits against former telecoms ministers, not to mention that he has assumed the role of an Attorney General, Minister of Justice, and the House of Parliament all at once," Jarrah added.
He explained that Ibrahim couldn't press charges, but could transfer the case to the cassation prosecutor, who refers it in turn to the Minister of Justice, and then to the House of Parliament, which decides on the matter.
"He [Ibrahim] is a judge and knows very well that the accused is innocent until proven guilty," the Caretaker Information Minister added.
He finally addressed Judge Ibrahim, saying: "From now on we will communicate via the judiciary and the judicial inspection. I stand under the ceiling of the law, and I am responsible for all the work I have done during the assumption of my duties as minister of Telecoms and Information."
