Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Thursday that the formation of a neutral government of experts was the only way to get out of the current crisis.
"The only way out of the crisis is to form a government independent of political parties, as demanded by the protesters demonstrating against the ruling elite," Geagea said in an interview with Reuters.
Geagea pointed out that the country's political leaders seem to be "on another planet" with no sign of forming a new government, despite the country's economic crisis.
The LF leader said politicians were acting as if nothing had changed since protests have broke out in the country on Oct. 17, noting that no outcome has emerged from talks over government formation.
Geagea also warned of social unrest should basic commodities run short, describing the country's financial situation as "very very" delicate.
