Member of the Strong Republic bloc, MP Fadi Saad, tweeted on Friday: "A heartfelt appeal to Prime Minister Saad Hariri: Resign, today not tomorrow. Do not take it upon you to protect a corrupt authority when you are not corrupt. Do not bear on your shoulders the task to protect a system that has impoverished the people while you fear for the people. Hear the cries of the people protesting in the rain, and make the resignation call, because every day that passes makes you responsible for mistakes you did not make. Say NO to leading a government that has lost its popular legitimacy by the referendum of millions of Lebanese from all spectrums. Resign and save the whole situation, otherwise [the country] is headed to the unknown. The unknown lies is the survival of this government and not in its departure."
