General Security Chief, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, while sponsoring a workshop entitled "Addressing the issue of indiscriminate shooting in Lebanese events", said that "indiscriminate shooting is a crime because it constitutes a threat to the lives of innocent people and requires an action by the Lebanese State."
He also noted to the role of the media and municipalities in following up on such crimes. "Indiscriminate firing is not a phenomenon, but a danger and everyone who fires is a killer," he stressed.
Ibrahim hoped that this phenomenon would be studied in all its dimensions to come up with practical recommendations to refer them to the State and rhe community, so as to turn them into laws, "because everyone has the right to enjoy a quiet life, and officials should not intervene for the release of shooters."
