Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi called Sunday for forming a cabinet, saying: "We are convinced of forming a government comprised of competent specialists who are impartial to take on State responsibilities and able to work immediately on solving the country's crises."
The prelate lamented the attitude of Lebanese officials who push citizens to be loyal to parties, leaders and confessions, while violating the laws and lightly dealing with the current situation in Lebanon.
He also called on Lebanese officials to show responsibility in carrying out the necessary reforms and putting an end to the waste of public funds.
