Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, on Thursday visited the Syrian Adam refugee camp in the town of Bar Elias, central Bekaa, where he distributed aid from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, on the occasion of the International Human Solidarity Day.
Ambassador Bukahri also visited Bar Elias Official School.
In his delivered word, Ambassador Bukhari said Saudi Arabia's interest in the Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon reflects the Kingdom's enduring advocacy of the language of tolerance far from the discourse of hatred and harm.
Bukhari disclosed that today's aid to refugees came in the wake of the wish proclaimed by the young girl, Sumayya, from this camp, who has asked for a "blue dress."
The Saudi Ambassador said that Summaya's wish was answered out of the Kingdom's permanent concern for human welfare and meeting their stringent humanitarian needs wherever they exist.
"Upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the King Salman Centre for Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in cooperation with the United Nations Organization, through UNESCO, signed an agreement to build two schools in the Bekaa to meet the needs of the Syrian displaced students," Bukhari corroborated.
Bukahri thanked King Salman for his sponsorship of all humanitarian initiatives.
In reply to a question, the Ambassador highlighted the paramount importance of education for all the displaced students, as a beacon for society building and a bright and promising future.
