Head of Hezbollah's International Relations, Ammar Moussawi, on Tuesday met with the Chair of the European Parliament's Delegation for the relations with the Mashreq, Marisa Matias, in the presence of the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Christina Lassen.
According to a statement by Hezbollah, talks touched on an array of local affairs, in addition to the latest developments in the region and the Lebanese-European ties.
Moussawi welcomed the visiting delegation, to whom he highlighted the importance of carrying on dialogue over common affairs. He also dwelt on the achievements made by the Lebanese Army and the Resistance during the war against terrorists.
Moreover, conferees discussed the Syrian refugees' issue with Moussawi, urging the international community to help Lebanon address this crisis.
On the situation in the south, Moussawi maintained that "the Israeli violations of the Lebanese lands and airspace have not ceased and that the Israeli threats are behind the current atmosphere of tension and escalation."
