President Michel Temer has not managed to convince Brazilians his government is better than his ousted predecessor Dilma Rousseff's administration and his popularity remains low, according to a poll on Wednesday.

 

Pollster Ibope said the number of Brazilians who consider Temer's government "great" or "good" edged up to 14 percent from 13 percent in the previous survey in late June, six weeks after he replaced Rousseff in mid-May when her impeachment trial began.

 

Those who rate it "bad" or "terrible" are unchanged at 39 percent, according to the poll that surveyed 2,002 people between September 20 and 25 and has a margin of error of 2 percentage points either way.
