Alrai Kuwaiti newspaper, citing media sources close to Hezbollah party, has confirmed the arrest of a western Intelligence agent working at al-Rassoul al-Aazam hospital in Beirut’ Southern Suburbs.
The daily noted that the spy had been identified as Sadek Hariri. The military officer, hailing from the south, is actually a CIA operative, commonly known as Mr. Sadek.
According to sources, Sadek had held a position within Hezbollah’s central protection unit at Sayyid al-Suhada compound before being put in charge of the hospital’ security for three years.
Findings indicate that the agent’s position had enabled him to learn sensitive details about scores injured, and killed in battle.
“The western spy had access to the medical files of Hezbollah’s high-ranking officials and personnel,” sources were quoted as saying in published remarks by Alrai, hinting that information related to the health condition of the party chief, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, are also likely to have been compromised.
