Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad called for the armament of the Lebanese Army, deeming the failure to do so as "national treason and an assault on stability."
During the funeral of a Hezbollah member, Raad stressed the need to elect a president as soon as possible, noting that the Cabinet's work cannot replace the head of state.
The lawmaker also noted that the west was "begging for" a nuclear agreement with Iran, adding that the main problem was with the way the US administration planned to market this agreement to its allies, particularly Israel.
"If the Islamic Republic of Iran approves this agreement, it will be a victory. If it doesn't, it won't be a disaster at all," Raad concluded
