Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea slammed acts carried out in the name of God by terrorist groups as "reflecting the most heinous aspects of extremism," voicing hope that peace would be restored to Lebanon.
In a statement issued on the occasion of Prophet Mohammad's birthday, Geagea hoped that the religion of Islam would continue to be one of forgiveness, moderation and openness.
"We pray to God that this holiday would bring along security and stability to troubled Arab countries, in the hope of establishing a free, sovereign and independent Palestinian state as soon as possible," Geagea added.
