Head of the INTERPOL Fund Elias Murr said Monday that Lebanese army is internationally ranked among the strongest armies in the world, topping Arabic armies.
"This is a source of pride to Lebanese people as the security agencies are very respectful in fighting terrorism. However, I concerned over Lebanon because it is located in the danger zone, since the Islamic State phenomenon cannot come to an end in few weeks or months," Murr said in an INTERPOL meeting.
The former minister called on Lebanese people to rally around the Lebanese army and security agencies as well as to put term to all political discrepancies in order to elect a president as soon as possible.
"Lebanon is in a delicate situation and we will do our best to help its people, I am keen on keeping a flow of data between INTERPOL and Lebanon within the preemptive strategy to fight terrorism and organized crime," Murr concluded.
