Israel restricting fuel to 9 percent of what’s needed to save lives: UN

A UN official says Israel is restricting fuel destined for Gaza with only nine percent of what is needed for lifesaving activities per day being allowed in through Egypt.

“No fuel or water for hospitals,” said Thomas White, director of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees in Gaza.

The agency also said on X: “This is the equivalent of half a truck! Not at all enough. Much more is needed. Fuel is being used as a weapon of war, this must stop.”
