Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib, on Friday welcomed Director of the Middle East in the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Valje Franco, who visited him in the company of Slovakian Ambassador to Lebanon, Marek Varga, with whom he discussed bilateral relations between both countries, as well as developmental projects that Slovakia is currently carrying out in Lebanon.

Talks between the pair also touched on the Syrian refugee dossier, especially since Slovakia hosts approximately half a million Ukrainian refugees.

Discussions also touched on regional developments and their repercussions on security in the Middle East and on Lebanon.
