Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday welcomed at his Yarzeh office Minister of Industry, George Boujikian.
The pair agreed to support productive thinking in the army institution by granting industry licenses, mainly to the Directorate of Geographical Affairs, with the aim of consolidating cooperation between the ministry and the military institution.
General Aoun also received United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Commander in chief, General Aroldo Lazaro, with whom he discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
The Army Commander separately welcomed Dean of the Association of Arab and Foreign Military Attaches accredited to Lebanon, Romanian military attaché Colonel Stefan IOVANESCU, who praised the army's performance facing the country’s current challenges.
Iovanescu praised the work of the rescue teams that participated in the humanitarian operations in Turkey and Syria.
At the end of the meeting, Iovanescu presented a financial donation to the military establishment.
