Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi on Monday highlighted the necessity to abide by coexistence and the National Pact to save Lebanon.
"Our salvation in Lebanon lies in returning to our national constants by adhering to coexistence and the National Pact," Rahi said at the opening of the Assembly of the Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Bkerke.
"The government has been disrupted at the most critical times; we do not rule out that those who disrupted it seek to break Lebanon's unity, dismantle the state and revolt against it, twist facts, cut ties with [Lebanon's] brothers, and falsely accuse those who are still under the wing of the state and legitimacy," he stressed.
