President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met on Monday with the Arab Unitarian Party Chief, former minister Wiam Wahhab, at Baabda Palace and deliberated with him general affairs.
Wahhab stated that the meeting addressed service and social issues, including the Health Ministry issue and the need to tackle the gap between hospitals and guarantor institutions.
The meeting also tackled the necessity of activating joint transport and preparing a quick study on it in partnership between both public and private sectors. Moreover, Wahhab called for working to secure 12 hours of electricity because the Lebanese are incapable of paying electric generator bills, which increased in an unprecedented and unacceptable manner.
Finally, Wahhab asserted that President Aoun attaches special importance to service and humanitarian needs, in addition to his follow-up to address political issues and current developments.
