Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi on Friday received European Union's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ralph Tarraf, with whom he discussed most recent developments on the local arena.

Later, Patriarch Rahi met with a delegation from the Strong Republic parliamentary bloc, chaired by MP Sethrida Geagea.

Speaking following the meeting, MP Geagea said that they visited Bkerke today to thank the Patriarch and the bishops for their firm stances in support of truth, freedom, dignity and sovereignty, and to discuss with the prelate the latest developments in the country, especially in light of the simmering conditions endured by the Lebanese.

The MP also said there is no coexistence outside the concept of true justice and law,  noting that the Lebanese Forces are utterly committed to civil peace till the end.
