The Parliament on Tuesday confirmed the legislative election date as March 27.
Strong Lebanon bloc head, MP Gebran Bassil objected to the election date, and said: "The Meteorological Authority reports that storms may occur on the dates set for the elections, which may make the process difficult, in addition to the overlap of a number of electoral deadlines with the seasons of fasting for a number of Christian denominations."
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri responded to Bassil, saying: "We voted, finished, and we will continue the session."
