Economy Minister Amin Salam welcomed on Wednesday the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Chantal Chastenay, and discussed with her the prospects of reactivating bilateral economic and trade relations. The pair also tackled the importance of bilateral ties, especially with the presence of a large and widespread Lebanese Diaspora in Canada.

The Minister also received the Ambassador of Germany, Andreas Kindl, who stressed the "importance of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund."
