Fadlallah: Sunday, March 30, first day of Eid al-Fitr

The Sharia Office of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah’s Foundation issued a statement announcing that “Sunday, March 30, 2025, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, based on the jurisprudential foundation of the Grand Ayatollah, relying on accurate astronomical scientific calculations that provide reassurance regarding the birth of the crescent and the possibility of seeing it."

The statement added, "We ask God Almighty to make it a blessed and auspicious Eid for the Islamic nation, to accept our fasting and our deeds, and grant us in His mercy.”
